Integration seminar
Before starting lessons at the different faculties or institutes of the UVHC, the international relations office recommends you to attend sessions providing information, introduction and welcome. This orientation session is free of charge.
2 integration seminars per year are organized, at the beginning of each semester:
- Tuesday 30th August to Friday September 2nd 2011 (for the 1st semester)
- Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th January 2012 (for the 2nd semester)
Location: "Tertiales Campus" (town center), boulevard Harpignies, Ronzier House, first floor
Beginning of the seminar : Tuesday at 9.30 a.m.

Registration at the “scolarité” to obtain the UVHC student card

Visit of the campuses "Le Mont Houy" and "Les Tertiales"

Presentation of French language and civilization courses

Information about the use of computer based resources (WLAN and university portal)

Information about rules in force at the halls of residence, financial assistance for housing and other practical matters for residents organized by the Centre Régional des Oeuvres Universitaires et Scolaires (CROUS)

Presentation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), the ECTS learning agreement, the ECTS transcript of records, higher education in France (L-M-D), the French marking system and the role of the academic coordinators, with the participation of the institutional ECTS coordinator at UVHC

Development of intercultural competence : how to avoid the cultural shock ?

Presentation of cultural activities organized by the Institut Culturel Universitaire

Presentation of Erasmus Student Network association and its activities

Information about French language test and diplomas (DELF, DALF)
The integration seminar ends up on Friday with a cocktail for all participants and academic coordinators followed by entertainment for students in the afternoon.
